Bollywood is always known to have starting new trends. Giving English titles to films, westernizing the looks of actors, shooting at top-notch Hollywood locations…….and so on. And now comes a new trend, old couple coming together as new onscreen partners.
Even normal people like us never like to see or rather meet our old acquaintances or more precisely lovers. Once broken up, it’s all over for the two people in the relationship. It was the same for couple before, like Akshay Kumar was never seen with Raveena Tandon or Shilpa Shetty after their break-up. Similarly legendry couples Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha also never shared the screen again after they parted ways from their long-term relationship, same with Bachchan bahu Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan or rather Vivek Oberoi.
But today, Bollywood couples are being more professional and less emotional by the day. As we see Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor coming together in Satish Kaushik’s Milenge Milenge but continuing the trend rather bravely are Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. It is heard that the two are planning to work together as an onscreen couple, leaving behind their personal bitterness. In fact Ranbir seems to be wishing for the same very soon.
I must say, that’s quite impressive.
