Adman Prasoon Joshi was heard saying, that he was not sure if SRK would agree to the idea. He basically didn’t want to make him look like the oldy he looked in Veer Zaara. It had to be different.

So, they first made him old in his pictures and then showed it to SRK. And he instantly liked the idea.” In fact, since SRK always gives a personal touch to every piece of his work, he called his make-up guy and gave him the brief on how to do his look.
