Vijaya Mehta-Director of NCPA inaugurated the 3rd eye Asian film festival


Asian Film Foundation also felicitated Paresh Mokashi-Director of Harishchandrachi Factory for being the official entry from India to the Oscar awards. The Asian Film Festival aims to bridge the gap between the Asian Film fraternities and promote Asian cinema. Vijaya Mehta- Director of NCPA inaugurated the Asian Film festival on 4th Dec 2009 at Plaza.

Mr. Paresh Mokashi, director of Harishchandrachi factory was also felicitated by the Asian Film Foundation for his movie being the official entry from India to the Oscar awards. The other guests who were present at the event were Mr Kiran shantaram (Chairman Asian film Foundation) and Sudhir Nandgaonkar- Director of Asian Film Festival.

The movie Harischandrachi factory was screened post the inauguration. Harishchandrachi Factory is the only marathi movie after Shwaas to receive this honour. The registration for the general public is open at plaza. The delegation pass costs Rs 400 for general public and Rs 250 for the students.
